What does CAE consist of?

The Energy Saving Certificate (CAE) is an electronic document that establishes the reliable recognition of the annual savings in final energy consumption derived from an energy efficiency action carried out either in accordance with the catalog of standardized sheets, or under the consideration of a singular action. Thanks to them, the reduction of energy consumption obtained thanks to different actions applied in the field of energy efficiency and implemented by consumers is guaranteed and quantified, thus assigning them to an owner (obligated subject) in a unique way.

Azigrene Energy collaborates as an accredited and independent intermediary in the primary market to offer technical advice to work in the new system of Energy Saving Certificates (CAEs).

Main characteristics.

Mechanism for crediting the achievement of annual energy savings.
CAEs are issued for the value of one kilowatt hour (1 kWh) saved in a year, without decimal places, and will be indivisible.
Once a CAE has been issued, and after its registration in the National CAE Registry, it will be valid throughout the national territory and may be traded exclusively among those who can hold its ownership.
Only regulated entities or delegated entities may be holders of a CAE.
Each CAE will be univocally coded and will contain, at least, the identification of its holder and the expiration date of its validity.
The CAE may only be settled by the obligated entities and/or delegated entities.

Azigrene Energy Consulting works as an intermediary to provide technical advice to work in the new CAE system.

Our methodology:

The client provides the information of the energy efficiency project.
Azigrene studies the project to estimate the savings achieved and make a preliminary assessment of the price of CAE.
Azigrene prepares the standardized sheet(s) or development of the singular performance.
Azigrene requests offers to different SO/SD and analyzes the different alternatives to achieve the highest economic profitability for the client.
Azigrene advises and reviews the CAE AGREEMENT to be signed by the client to obtain the best conditions.
Azigrene collects and prepares all the additional documentation required for the CAE file.
Azigrene accompanies the client until the savings payment is received.
