International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol
In the early 1990s, the standardization of energy efficiency measurement and verification was developed to assist project creators, owners, and financiers. Today, the International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol (IPMVP), EVO’s patent, is the international leader in measurement and verification (M&V) protocol standards. The IPMVP has been translated into 10 languages (including Spanish) and is used in more than 40 countries. It is currently commonly cited in federal, state, and other measurement and verification protocols.
The IPMVP is a guidance document that provides a conceptual framework for measuring, calculating, and reporting savings achieved in energy saving and efficiency projects. The IPMVP sets out key terms and outlines issues that need to be raised in the development of a measurement and verification plan, although it does not provide details of specific measures or technologies.
Azigrene Consultores has technicians with the title of CMVP (Certified Measurement & Verification Professional).
