SELLO CALCULO - REDUZCO

The Spanish Office of Climate Change, which depends on the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, manages the carbon footprint registry, to which companies voluntarily adhere.

The “Sello Calculo” obtained by an organization by complying with the registration of a period in “Section A of the Carbon Footprint, Compensation and Carbon Dioxide Absorption Projects Registry”. The “Sello Calculo” takes into account the degree of reduction in the carbon footprint of the registered organization. So a Local Entity that calculates its footprint and has a reduction plan, but whose actions have not yet been reflected in emissions, only has the “Calculation” part of the seal “activated”. However, if the entity presents a trajectory with a downward trend for four consecutive emission periods, it can obtain a seal in which the “Reduzco” part is additionally “activated”.
